Whiter, brighter teeth in Castle Hill

What’s the difference between Shine Bright Dental’s teeth whitening treatments, and other dentists in Castle Hill? Well, the main one (apart from our strong focus on customer service & support), is how long the teeth whitening process takes. It depends on the amount of hydrogen peroxide in the products, which can vary from 6% to 37.5%.

The best teeth whitening treatments in Sydney, like ours, are safer and achieve better results in less time, than the whitening products you may have seen in shops or on social media.

Teeth whitening services in Castle Hill, Sydney

Why would you need teeth whitening services?

Your teeth can become discoloured over time, from a variety of causes, including:

  • Regular consumption of certain beverages (coffee & tea, soft drinks and red wine)
  • Smoking
  • Poor dental hygiene
  • Tooth decay
  • …even certain fruits & vegetables!

For many people, having yellowed or discoloured teeth can have an impact on their self-confidence. If this is something you’re facing, you may find yourself closing or covering your mouth (particularly in photos), or being overly-conscious of your teeth during conversations. Sometimes this can affect your self-esteem, or even cause you to avoid certain social interactions.

On the other hand, perhaps you simply want to boost your existing great smile – to make an impression at an event, to feel & look younger, or more attractive (a 2012 study found a strong connection between white teeth and attractiveness!). Dental teeth whitening in Glenhaven

Our approach to whiter teeth

We look forward to welcoming you to our practice, where you can chat to one of our dentists about the results you can expect. They will suggest the best whitening option for your teeth, based on the amount of time you have and your budget. Your dentist can also treat sensitivity — this is a common concern, so please let us know if this applies to you, too.

At Shine Bright Dental, we always recommend you visit us for a thorough check-up and clean appointment prior to undergoing any form of whitening treatment. There are two reasons for this:

  1. We want to check for any active areas of decay on your teeth prior to whitening. Finding and treating any tooth decay beforehand will ensure the whitening treatment doesn’t exacerbate any areas of decay and cause pain.
  2. The whitening ingredients will work more effectively on professionally cleaned teeth than on teeth that have a build-up of tartar or calculus. By having a professional clean first, you’ll get the best whitening result.

In-chair teeth whitening at our Castle Hill clinic

If you’re busy and are looking to have an instantly brighter smile in time for a special occasion or event, in-chair whitening may be the best whitening option for you.

At Shine Bright Dental, we use Pola Office+ which uses the strongest hydrogen peroxide dosage of 37.5% to whiten your teeth in as little as one hour. The beauty of this whitening system is that it does not require the use of a UV light, which often can lead to increased tooth sensitivity.

During your in-chair whitening appointment, your dentist will first apply a gingival barrier to protect your gums. They will then apply a hydrogen peroxide solution to your teeth at regular intervals to give you whiter teeth faster. Your trusted dentist is a trained professional who will safely whiten your teeth. So, sit back and relax while you have your teeth professionally whitened by one of our dentists at our modern and comfortable Castle Hill dental practice.

At-home teeth whitening

If you’d prefer to whiten your teeth in the comfort of your own home, custom-made take home whitening trays may be the best option for you. This option will gradually (and safely) whiten your teeth in as little as 30 minutes per day.

At Shine Bright Dental, we use PolaDay whitening syringes that contain fluoride to remineralise your teeth and protect them against sensitivity.

Before you start your at-home teeth whitening treatment, you’ll have an appointment with one of our dentists. They’ll take impressions of your teeth and custom-fit the trays. We can do this after your regular check-up and clean or as a separate appointment. The trays will be ready one week later and we’ll see you again to check the fit and to explain how to use the whitening products at home.

This option is also great for our patients who would like to continue to keep their smile bright after in-chair whitening, or who would like to whiten their teeth at home on an ongoing basis.

On-the-go teeth whitening

If you’ve already had in-chair whitening or have fairly white teeth to begin with, try our Pola Luminate whitening pen.

Pola Luminate is a quick and easy to use on-the-go whitening solution because you don’t need to wait for whitening trays to be made. Pola Luminate contains 6% hydrogen peroxide so you can apply it whenever you’d like. It’s discreet — no-one will notice you’re whitening your teeth! Pola Luminate is the perfect handbag essential.
