No, we are not a Paediatric Dental Clinic, we just happen to be really great with kids! That’s why a large percentage of our patient base is children and their parents! One of the key reasons you would bring your child to a child-friendly practice over a paediatric practice is cost. As paediatric dentists are specialists, they have a higher fee. Parents also love to have their children visit the same Dentist as the rest of the family so they can build that rapport with the family Dentist. In the event your child requires more specialised care, we are able to provide a referral to one of the Hills Paediatric Specialists.
At Shine Bright Dental we want every experience to be comfortable and a positive one, especially for children. Generally, children from the ages of two years old and above are recommended to see a Dentist. This can be them getting familiar with the environment and ensuring they have a positive experience when they see the dentist. We have iPads in our reception area, TVs on the ceilings of our treatment rooms and personalised music to ensure every child has an enjoyable experience. Our Dentists are all very child friendly and try to make their experience as fun as possible. We typically start with getting them in the chair and count their teeth and if they are confident enough, we can clean and polish their teeth too!

X-Rays are a necessary and important part of your check up and clean appointment with us. X-rays allow us to have a look at what is going on between your teeth, that your Dentist is unable to see. These X-rays allow us to look for any signs of decays or cavities between the teeth. We are also conveniently have an OPG machine on site which allows us to take OPG X-Rays! An OPG allows us to check for the presence of impacted wisdom teeth, infections, tumours, the sinuses and any cavities. You do not need X-rays every time you visit us. We recommend updating your X-Rays every 2 years so we have a clear picture of what is going on in your mouth!
It’s true! Dr Jason offers cosmetic injectables and fillers at Shine Bright Dental! It’s important to note that just because someone is Dentist, it does not mean that all Dentists can offer this service! Dr Jason has undergone additional training in the art of cosmetic injectables and fillers. Your Dentist may not be your most obvious choice when it comes to selecting your injector but they are definitely the best choice due to their amazing injection technique, understanding of facial anatomy and their attention to detail! The best part? The discretion and convenience from getting your injectables when just going in for your regular check up at the Dentist! Your secret is safe with us!
